Gail commented that what really made the difference this time for her was that she was truly ready to quit and had a strong desire to achieve this. She says she quit because she wants to spend more time with her grandchildren and wanted to end comments pertaining to her smelling like smoke. She is happy to be quit and just experienced a recent benefit when she got over a cold faster than she had in recent years. She also told herself “having just one cigarette was not an option” as she had learned from past experience.
